Maheshwaram is a popular pilgrimage centre situated in the Rangareddy District, Telangana. The main attraction of the
place is the
ruins of an ancient Shiva temple. Apart from this temple, the place also comprises two fortresses namely
Shiva Ganga
and Vishnu Ganga, along with a Kacheri House of Akkanna and Madanna and four ministers of the
Bhaktha Ramdas
era; as well as the Kodanda Ramalayam and the Shivaji Durgam. Every edifice present at this place
can be dated back
to more than 500 years. The smaller temples of Maheshwaram are known for their exquisite
